Self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal Rashid Khan, widely known as KRK, often makes headlines for targeting Bollywood celebrities and slamming Hindi films. Of late, he has been taking nasty digs at stars on social media. Now, KRK’s old controversial tweet has landed him in big legal trouble. As per the latest reports, Kamaal has been arrested by the Mumbai police over his controversial 2020 tweet where he allegedly used derogatory remarks against late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

As per an ANI report, Kamaal was arrested by Malad police today, on August 30 soon after he reached the Mumbai airport. He was detained at the airport. The film critic will be presented before the Borivali court today. Informing the same, ANI tweeted, “Kamal Rashid Khan arrested by Malad Police over his controversial tweet in 2020. KRK was arrested in connection to the controversial tweet he posted on Twitter in 2020. He had made derogatory remarks against late actors Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. Even an FIR was lodged against Kamaal for the same in 2020. Back then, an official told PTI, “We have registered an FIR against Kamaal R Khan for making derogatory remarks about both the deceased actors under section 294 (punishment for obscene acts or words in public) and other provisions of the IPC.”

Meanwhile, Kamaal Rashid was recently at the receiving end on social media after he blamed Anushka Sharma for putting in Virat Kohli’s head that he is suffering from depression. However, he later deleted his tweets in the wake of huge criticism.
